4th of July

It has become a tradition for us to celebrate Independence Day with a group of our dear friends at the Country Club of the South. We are close friends with the Executive Chef and he has invited us to join him and his wife, Michelle, in their festivities for the last 3 years – we are lucky girls because it’s a blast!

They have a pool party, delicious food, amazing hospitality and a very impressive fireworks show. This year, Matt reserved the club Villa for us to stay in so we were extra spoiled – it felt like a mini-vacation!

Even if we’re not celebrating at home, i.e. the comfort of our own event space, we still do everything we can to make any event feel festive. We had so much fun ‘decking the halls’ at the Villa and spending the evening before with all of our friends! We even made our signature balloon banner for the holiday!

Nearly all of our red, white and blue decor came from Dollar Tree! It doesn’t have to be anything fancy AND most items can be reused year after year.

We spent the Fourth at the pool all day and then on the green for dinner and fireworks in the evening. The Club put on an AMAZING fireworks show which displayed over the golf course! Chef Matt and his team created a perfect spread of food for the holiday – burgers and dogs, pulled pork tacos, grilled chicken skewers, and a delicious beef and broccoli. The golf course was sprinkled with bars, King of Pops, a live band and to finish it all out, the most magnificent display of fireworks.

We hope y’all enjoyed your Independence Day as much as we did!

BLOOPER ALERT! LOL! The photo below is the car we packed for a ONE NIGHT stay! Packed with outfit options, food, drinks, host gifts, festive decor, etc. As my Mom says, imagine when you have a pack n play, stroller, diaper bag, car seat, etc. 😂
